2025 Metro Tyler Jones Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MAY 15, 2025. The completed application must submitted by the deadline. Important: Two scholarships valued at $1,250 in financial aid are available from the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of NJ (METRO). The scholarship is limited to students who live or attend school in Morris, Essex, Warren, Hunterdon, Somerset, or Union County. These scholarships are available only to students (full or part-time) who will be matriculating at an accredited post-secondary school (college, vocational school, etc.) pursuing a course of study related to real estate development and construction. The fields of real estate development and construction include the following: Carpentry, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Heating Technology, Electrician Training, Masonry, Construction Materials Handling, Job-Site Supervision, Construction Planning, Surveying, Construction Information Management, Project Management, Construction Business Management, Architectural Design, Engineering, and Construction Management). Application Requirements: You will be asked to complete an online application form asking questions about your residency, school and community service history and your financial status. You will need to upload transcripts, letters of references and an essay.

PWB is part of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and are the voice of women in the building industry who are dedicated to promoting industry professionalism and supporting members at the local, state and national levels. Through education, professional development and networking opportunities, PWB helps members acquire and develop invaluable leadership and business management skills that boost career success. We are one of many PWB councils across the country and we are delighted our council will be offering this scholarship for a graduating FEMALE who will be entering the real estate development and or construction industry for the very first time in the fall of 2025. Our mission is to help educate and support young women and share what exciting career opportunities there are in this industry. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MAY 15, 2025.
